Social & Study Tour to Shenzhen March 2010

A group of 17 members from SWEPA make a Social & Study Tour to Shenzhen recently. Organised by our Social Sub-committee Chairperson, Jeanette Tambakau, the group were headed by our SWEPA President, Datuk Adeline Leong.

Thank you so much for coming to the SWEPA EGM last Tuesday evening and for giving your support to purchase SWEPA's shop lot at Kolam Centre, Jln Lintas costing RM125,000. Many thanks to Doris for hosting the Members' Nite cum EGM in her beautiful house and to Carole for being so efficient in getting 42 members and guests to come.

Message from the President - March

It has been quite a full month for us in March starting off with a Healthy Food Storage and Smart Cooker tea talk on 6 March at my house organized by Ursula's Members Network Committee. Around 40 members and guests turned up and all had a good taste of the garlic rice and curry chicken cooked by the Smart Cooker apart from the high tea. Thank you to Ursula and her committee for organizing the talk and to Karen for taking up the MC role at the last minute.

International Women's Day - Women in Asean 2010

International Women's Day (8 March) is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. In some places like China, Russia, Vietnam and Bulgaria, IWD is a national holiday.

This year, for International Women’s Day, SWEPA is proud to have Yg Bhg Datin Seri Siti Rubiah Datuk Abdul Samad, wife to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, to address us on “Women in Asean 2020”.

President Message

"SWEPA's vision is to bring women entrepreneurs and professionals to the forefront in the economic development of the State and Nation. Its mission is to provide a platform for women entrepreneurs and professionals to network and to be trained. SWEPA is all about women helping women to grow their businesses and careers. Our activities include the SWEPA Biznetwork, Members' Nite, Business Convention, seminars and overseas business trips.

The theme for this term is Love SWEPA, Grow Members, Give Back. When the members LOVE SWEPA, they would naturally want to continue strengthening the organisation. An organisation is only as stong as its members. Therefore it is important not only to GROW MEMBERS but to recruit good quality members.
