About SWEPA

Sabah Women Entrepreneurs and Professionals Association (SWEPA) is an NGO where formation was spearheaded by the Economic Committee of the Sabah Women’s Advisory Council in March 1993. It was registered with the Registrar of Societies in May 1994.

SWEPA is an organization dedicated to furthering professional and entrepreneurial development and increasing opportunity through networking and programs to transform and enhance the image and professional standing of members in society.

VISION

SWEPA aims to bring women entrepreneurs and professionals to the forefront in the economic development of the state and nation.

MISSION

SWEPA seeks to provide a platform for women entrepreneurs and professionals to network and to be trained.

OBJECTIVES

♥ To foster goodwill and to establish relationship among business and professionals women;

♥ To work together with the Federal Government, State Government and public enterprises in achieving national development;

♥ To comment/review on certain laws, ordinances, statutes and enactments which have an impact and relevance with the member’s business and professional;

♥ To affiliate and co-operate with other bodies/agencies in Sabah, and other parts of Malaysia which may have similar objectives. To affiliate also with international bodies that have similar goals and objectives;

♥ To provide and/or assist members to obtain professional knowledge, training and services in their various business and professional fields;

♥ To represent its members at various government authorities and bodies/agencies;

♥ To collect, integrate and disseminate data, statistics and other information that has relation with the businesses and professions of the members’

♥ To act as adviser to potential and existing businesswomen.

Our Logo

The logo is in the design of an outline in horizontal oval shape in RED in the centre depicting an eye of a bird. In the eye of the bird is a BLACK silhouette of a woman, with the word ‘SWEPA’ printed in GOLD colour in the centre, against a backdrop in BLACK colour in the shape of the top of a mortar board.
